| Abstrakt: | Ilustrace a celková grafická úprava povídkového sborníku Zpráva o třetí planetě od Arthura C. Clarka, spoluautora filmu 2001: Vesmírná odysea a aktivního vědce který jako první formuloval myšlenku telekomunikační družice. Ilustrace jsou provedené technikou linorytu a zahrnují 12 celostránkových ilustrací, 21 záhlaví ke každé kapitole sborníku, titulní list, předsádku s motivem binárního kódu a motiv na obálku. |
| Abstrakt v dalším jazyce: | The aims of my diploma thesis were illustrations and graphic layout of the short story collection The Report of the Third Planet by Arthur C. Clarke. The illustrations are made in the technique so called linocut and include 12 full-page illustrations and 21 headers for the each chapter, the title page, the flyleaf with the motive of binary code, and the motive for the book jacket. I have also focused on the problematic of illustration for literature for adults and its role there. I have tried to design the book in order to appeal to readers who are not primarily interested in science fiction. |
