Abstract in different language: In this paper we focus on analysis of market research companies in the Slovak Republic by the methods of decision trees. We compare the use of market research data based on two surveys that we were conducted in 2009 and 2012. We focused statistical verification based market research from selected factors and the use of market research in selected areas of marketing activities in the company. Subsequently, we analyzed the effect of selected attributes for implementing market research. Based on the obtained data suggest measures to address this problem. The contribution is part of the output of the project VEGA no. 1/0100/13 Research of the impact of current global economy phenomena on business marketing activities.
