| Abstract in different language: | The aim of this paper is to compare the performance of agricultural Farms in Slovak agriculture using financial ratios based on Utilized Agricultural Area (UAA). The analysis was performed on a dataset of agricultural farms in the period 2009-2012. Farms were divided into 5 groups according UAA. Slovakia is perceived as a leader among the European countries due to its size of farms. We conclude that there are differences in profitability, liquidity and indebtedness. Farms with UAA 0-250 ha are more profitable, have overall low but higher liquidity out all UAA size Groups. Indebtedness of small Farms is higher compared to large Farms. |
