Abstract in different language: | This study examines the relation between surface condition and its response to interaction with a laser. The surface character is modified by the creation of oxide layer. The oxide layers were created by solid state pulsed laser that is mostly used for industrial marking. The relation was tested on samples with a different width of created oxide layer. The modified samples were processed by diode laser used for surface treatment (primarily hardening). The surface temperature was measured during this experiment. The surface hardness and hardness depth profile were measured for all samples. The effect of pretreatment on hardness and microstructure will be discussed. The goal of the work is to find out optimal parameters for creation of the oxide layer that cause sufficient modification of optical properties to make the required laser absorption rise possible. |
