Abstract in different language: This paper describes the most important reliability characteristics of the power plant unit. These reliability characteristics are calculated for the repairable unit. The results are specific equations for the characteristics of the power plant unit, i.e. the probability of failure-free operation and the mean time of operation. Thanks to the results, we are able to create a model of dynamic reliability for prediction of future states. It is useful for improving the current situation of the unit as well as for creating the optimal plan of maintenance and thus have an impact on the overall economics of the operation of the power plant unit.
