Abstract in different language:	The paper revolves around methodological challenges that students working with a scientific paper must face. Likewise, solutions devised by teachers at MA discourse linguistics course run at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland) Romance Philology 2015/16 academic year are going to be discussed. They comprise: 1) linguistic facts of interpersonal manipulation; 2) racist stereotypes in language and culture; 3) aesthetic devices applied to media news releases.
