| Abstract: | Studie na příkladě třech poetických konceptů, Philipa Sidneyho, Edmunda Spensera a George Puttenhama, ukazuje, že stěžejním záměrem alžbětinské poetiky bylo utváření profesní a národní identity skrze poezii, a zaměřuje se na základní společné rysy alžbětinských poetik, tj. 1) koncept poezie jako vytváření fiktivních světů a pojetí básníka jako „tvůrce (maker); 2) morální a společenskou úlohu poezie a koncept učení příkladem; 3) spjatost poetiky a rétoriky a 4) autenticitu emocí produkovaných poezií vs. učenost, originalitu vs. kopírování (antických a kontinentálních) vzorů. Anglická poezie se v tomto smyslu stává svrchovaným prostředkem budování kulturní a intelektuální identity a svou svébytností usiluje překonat předchozí klasické či kontinentální vzory. |
| Abstract in different language: | The study deals with the main tenets of the Elizabethan Poetics, as 1) the concept of poesy as creating fictional worlds and the concept of poet as a “maker”, 2) moral and social role of poetry and the concept of “doctrine by ensample”, 3) unity of poetics and rhetoric, 4) authenticity of emotions through poetry versus erudition, originality versus imitation of classical models. Thus, English poetry becomes the important device of establishing cultural and social identity of Elizabethan society in the context of dealing with classical and continental examples. |
