Abstract in different language:	Terminology is represented by specific units that should, except the quality of standard language, contain other qualities as well. In case of difference of classification systems and therefore the necessity to translate/create a term/ terms, one does not have to be succesful in translating/creating a term/terms that would contain the majority of the basic terminological qualities. Translation of terminology having no equivalents and terminology denoting notions referring to the latest results within a science, a reseach etc. should be paid attention to as early as during university study, not only in case of the field of translation studies, but any fields of study whose graduates can also find themselves in a position of creators of terms. One of the basic terminology qualities postulated by the Slovak theory of terminology is represented by the motivation on the principle of similarity that is clearly present in the scientific discipline of dactyloscopy, namely one of the disciplines of criminalistics. This type of motivation is dealt with in this paper. Terminológiu zastupujú špecifické jednotky, ktoré by mali, s výnimkou vlastnosti spisovného jazyka, obsahovať tiež iné vlastnosti. V prípade odlišnosti klasifikačných systémov a z toho vyplývajúcej potreby preložiť/vytvoriť termín/termíny, sa pri preklade/vytváraní termínu/termínov, ktorý/é by obsahoval/li väčšinu základných terminologických vlastností, nemusí podariť dosiahnúť úspech. Prekladu bezekvivalentnej terminológie a terminológie pomenúvajúcej pojmy, ktoré odkazujú na najnovšie výsledky v oblasti vedy, výskumu atď., by mala byť pozornosť venovaná už počas štúdia na univerzite, a to nielen v prípade štúdia translatológie, ale v akomkoľvek študijnom odbore , ktorého absolventi sa môžu ocitnúť v pozícii tvorcov terminológie. Jednu z hlavných terminologických vlastností postulovaných slovenskou teóriou terminológie, predstavuje motivácia na princípe podobnosti, ktorá je zreteľne prítomná vo vednom odbore daktyloskopia, t.j. jednej z disciplín kriminalistiky. Týmto druhom motivácie sa zaoberá aj tento príspevok.
