| Abstract: | Článek pojednává o jednom z průkopníků forenzních věd, který se věnoval především forenzní fotografii. Vyvinul řadu fotografických technik pro dokumentaci místa činu a identifikaci osob, věnoval se výukové činnosti a podílel se též na založení školy vědecké policie na univerzitě v Lausanne. Mimo jiné také přispěl k vyšetřování válečných zločinů spáchaných za první světové války. |
| Abstract in different language: | The paper deals with one of the pioneers of forensic science, who mainly devoted to forensic photography. He has developed a range of photographic techniques for documenting the crime scene and identifying people, he devoted himself to teaching, and he also contributed to the founding of a science police school at the University of Lausanne. Among other things, he contributed to the investigation of war crimes committed during the First World War. |
