| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na prostorovou a časovou distribuci etno-politického konfliktu, který probíhal mezi lety 1983-2009 na Šrí Lance. Práce analyzuje prostřednictvím zahraničních webových databází průběh konfliktu (dle počtu teroristických útoků a počtu obětí). Dále zjišťuje vzájemnou souvislost koncentrace konfliktních událostí a distribucí etnických skupin a politické podpory na ostrově pomocí statistických databází Šrí Lanky. Analýza je pro přehlednost rozdělena do tří časových period a doprovázena vlastními mapovými výstupy, následně jsou výsledky porovnány pomocí korelační analýzy. Hlavním výzkumným cílem je objasnit etnopolitické a geografické aspekty a jejich vzájemnou souvislost v průběhu konfliktu. Práce dochází ke zjištění, že distribuce etnické struktury a volba politických stran má vliv na koncentraci konfliktů. V závěru práce nalezneme implikaci pro obdobný konflikt v Myanmaru. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor thesis focuses on spatial and tempoval distribution of ethno-political conflict which took place between 1983 and 2009 in Sri Lanka. The thesis analyzes the conflict development (according to the number of terrorist attacks and the number of victims) using several web databases. Furthermore, it examines the correlation between conflict events and ethnic group distributions and political support in the island using the Sri Lanka´s statistical databases. For the sake of clarity, the analysis is divided into three time periods and accompanied by respektive mapping outputs. The results are compared using the correlation analysis. The main research goal is to clarify the ethno-political and geographic aspects and their interconnection during the conflict. The thesis finds that the distribution of ethnic structure and the choice of political parties has an impact on the conflict concentration. In conclusion, there is an implication suggested for a simile conflict in Myanmar. |
