Abstract:	Článek se zabývá měřením a počítačovými simulacemi standardních i nestandardních testů varistorů, které se používají jako prvek v přepěťových ochranách. V úvodu článku jsou uvedeny základní elektrické parametry varistorů, dále seznámení se standardy týkajících se testování přepěťových ochran. V další části článku jsou provedena měření dle daných standardů. Nestandardní testy byly provedeny na generátoru velmi vysokého napětí. Pro všechna měření byly provedeny počítačové simulace v programu PSpice.
Abstract in different language:	This paper deals with measurement and computer simulation of varistors tests, that are used like surge protectors. At the beginning basic characteristics parameters of varistors are described. The next section of paper introduces surge protectors standards. According to these standards measurements of varistor were realized. Nonstandardized tests use a very high voltage generator. All measurements were verified by PSpice simulation.
