Abstract: The paper presents an insight in the issue of spears in Bronze Age in Slovakia. The spears are considered to be the fi rst specialized weapons of old Bronze Age. There are created two big groups: adorned and unadorned spears, whereby the first one is in the principal point of our intentness. The aim was to show shape variability of spears. A special attention is paid to the typology based on the blade shape and spear profi ling. It rests on recent famous publications. There was a poor interest to elaborate these founds in past because of its time intersection and its small mutual shape differences.
