Abstract: The study follows the oscillation of Hermann Hesse’s cultural orientation among Western European, Indian and Chinese spiritual and ethical values, which the author tried, especially in the prose Siddhartha to suggestively convey as a sensory perceived experience in different language levels, on a composition level and a spiritual level. The dialogue of cultures and its manifestation in literary communication of author’s works, whose intercultural sensitivity goes hand in hand with remarkable thought, depth and artistic originality.
