| Abstract in different language: | This paper deals with theoretical and methodological approaches to the research problems surrounding the processing of medieval pottery in the Czech Republic with a comparison with the state of research abroad. The main themes of pottery studies are discussed, such as chronology, production, distribution, use, formational processes, consumption and their relation to current archaeological and anthropological theories (paradigms). Approaches to pottery analysis are divided into several experiments, which characterize the general development of knowlege of medieval pottery in Bohemia and Moravia. The study proposes and discusses a method for pottery analysis – the study of operational sequence (châine opératoire) and behavioral chain of pottery stemming from social and economic system theory. |
