| dc.description.abstract | Předložená práce je zaměřená na provedení auditu pohledávek a závazků ve vybrané společnosti, přesněji ve společnosti ATS UL a. s. První část práce je věnována teoretické rovině. V té je zpracován historický vývoj společně s významem auditní činnosti, legislativa a vymezeni externí uživatelé účetní závěrky, kterou externí audit ověřuje. Následuje představení profesních organizací, tj. Komory auditorů ČR a Mezinárodní federace účetních a auditorů. Druhá kapitola je pak uzavřena etickými aspekty auditorské profese. Dále jsou uvedeny auditorské postupy, které se skládají z činností před uzavřením smlouvy, plánování, provedení a závěru auditu. Praktická část začíná charakteristikou zvolené účetní jednotky, kdy jsou nejdříve uvedeny základní znaky společnosti ATS UL a. s., včetně popisu vnitřního prostředí. Potom jsou definovány pohledávky a závazky, prezentován jejich vývoj, vyhodnocena rizika a po určení hladiny významnosti začíná samotné testování pohledávek a závazků. To spočívalo v analytických testech, v detailních testech i za pomoci konfirmací, které jsou v závěru práce zhodnoceny. | cs |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The diploma thesis concentrates on the auditing procedure of receivables and liabilities of ATS UL a. s. The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical perspective with special regard to the historic evolution of the concept, importance of the auditing procedure within contemporary economic context and legislative regulations. Furthermore, the introductory chapters define external users of financial statements as well as professional organisations, such as The Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic and International Federation of Accountants, which are responsible for the elaboration of ethical codes preserving the profession. The theoretical part is concluded by the description of the auditing procedure itself which consists of various activities taking place before making a contract, subsequent planning, realization of the audit and concluding steps. The empirical part first introduces the analysed company ATS UL a. s. with respect to its basic economic and legal features and internal environment. Afterwards, the thesis specifies individual receivables and liabilities by examining their evolution and assessing affiliated risks. The core of the empirical part resides in the definition of the level of materiality and in the testing of selected receivables and liabilities by using detailed analytical methods and confirmations. In conclusion, the final part assesses testing outcomes. | en |
