| Abstract: | Eliptičnost a redundantnost chápe autorka jako dva kontrární pojmy. Eliptičností míní vypouštění (proces) i vypuštění (výsledek procesu), ale i pouhé nevyjádření slov a vět, které jsou v daném větném schématu očekávány. Redundancí rozumí nadbytečnost či nadměrné užití výrazových prostředků. Redundance je pojem nadřazený pojmu pleonasmus. Ve svém článku uvádí různé příklady eliptičnosti a redundance v různých oblastech užití českého jazyka a v různých komunikačních situacích. |
| Abstract in different language: | Ellipticity and redundandy in speech are two mutually exlucive, opposing concepts, but they sometimes combine in a single text. Ellipticity refers to bouth the process of omitting something or the result of doing so. Ellipticity converges with the concepts of sentence equivalent, single-constituent sentence, and others. Ellipticity is the violation of the presumed sentence of text pattern, either intentionally, in attempts at linguistic economy, or unintentionally, sometimes culminating in ambiguity or even the lack of intelligibility in communication. Redundancy refers to excess in speech, excessive information and means of expression, and thus the resulting verbosity. This text poses the question of the relationship of redundany to pleonasm, whether they are synonyms or whether redundancy is the superordinate concept and pleonasm the subordinate one. Redundancy is manifested in laguage through the excessive repetition of sentence patterns or their parts, sometimes consciously (e.g. šel a šel); other times, like with ellipsis, it is an expression of stylistic clumsiness, and like ellipsis, it can also lead to unintelligible formulations. |
