| Abstract: | Tři školní kolekce modelů fosilií jsou kriticky zhodnoceny z hlediska věcné správnosti a zastoupení stejných či podobných organismů v učebnicích pro základní a střední školy, které vyšly na území dnešní České republiky ve 20. a 21. století. I když je kvalita odlitků nevalná, přesto jimi lze uspokojivě demonstrovat charakteristické fosilie geologických ér a period. U odlitků je komentována morfologie, ekologie a případně i další informace o reálných fosiliích, podle kterých byly modely zhotoveny. |
| Abstract in different language: | Three sets of plaster models of fossils which were observed in school rooms are illustrated and critically evaluated. Names and taxonomic assessment of fossils are controlled and corrected, stratigraphical age and locality are completed. Casts have mediocre quality. Some of them accurately illustrates particular morphology of animal or plant, but many casts have poor quality, illustrating showing only general shape but lacking fine details. Morphology, ecology, stratigraphy and taxonomy of assumed original models are presented with special comments to particular invertebrate/plant groups, history or importantce to scientific research or other items important for a teacher. A critical survey of illustrated and mentioned fossils presented in model sets in Czech text-books since the beginning of 20th century to present is given. Suggestions for use of plaster casts in for teaching and education in school are summarized in final paragraph. |
