dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of the present study is to map and describe, at least in a very basic way, the risks that have become actual due to two successive and partially interrelated crises between 2020 and 2022 (possibly continuing in the following years). The first of these crises was triggered by the anti-pandemic measures associated with the COVID-19 disease, followed by an energy crisis accompanied by a generalised and significant inflation and compounded by the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. These global events have shown that a number of risks that were significant in the past but have been almost forgotten in the more than three decades since the fall of the Iron Curtain may start to reappear and have significant impacts on economic development. This is true both at the scale of entire countries and at the scale of individual companies. Under the influence of events, it is then documented that states, institutions and the business sector have to prepare for these risks again. It is also necessary to analyse the costs of mitigating or eliminating them, or of protecting the activities of the enterprise or the State from the impact of such risks. The study focuses primarily on the issue of enterprise risks, but it also draws some conclusions, at least in part, from the perspective of national economies and states on issues of national strategic risks. It presents at least a very rough taxonomy of risks, their basic characteristics and an assessment of their hazard or relevance. However, the essay should be understood primarily as an entry into the discussion and a certain outline of its layout; in no way does it set out to formulate, for example, rules for the response of corporate management to new conditions of the construction of cooperative links, production cycles, etc. It also only formulates the question of the impact of these crises on the future development of the circular economy without attempting to provide a more detailed answer to this question.en
