dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the development of US public diplomacy, starting around the end of Great war as the author tries to point out some important aspects of events, that helped to form american public diplomacy. The main focus however, lies in the Cold war and post Cold war period and this event had the biggest effect on the way how is the public diplomacy used. The tools that are used and the ares where they are used are described.The paper also analyze how the 9/11 attacks changes the perception of public diplomacy and what needed to be changed. New actors of public diplomacy in post 9/11 period are described and it is pointed out, why they are not so succesful in their goals. Author of this paper suggests that a deeper research onb this matter need to be conducted.cs
