dc.description.abstractPráce se zaměřuje na vztah genderu a žánru science fiction. Konkrétně zkoumá, zda gender v tomto žánru utužuje svoji tradiční podobu nebo naopak dochází k jeho dekonstrukci. Žánr science fiction je specifický tím, že pracuje s nereálným světem a velmi často zobrazuje ženy ve vedoucích pozicích a s maskulinními charakteristikami, což může nabourávat zažité genderové stereotypy. Výzkum byl pojat jako case study fenoménu Vetřelec, kde hlavní pozornost byla věnována postavě poručice Ripleyové, u níž se projevuje ambivalence genderových rolí. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda a jakým způsobem postava Ripleyové narušuje či utužuje genderové stereotypy feminity. S pomocí kvalitativní obsahové analýzy byly detailně analyzovány všechny čtyři díly quadrilogie Vetřelec. Výzkum dokazuje, že Ripleyová skutečně narušuje genderové femininní stereotypy, tedy může vést k dekonstrukci tradičního vnímání genderu a genderových rolí.cs

dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis focuses on the relationship between gender and science fiction genre. It specifically investigates, if gender within the genre of science fiction can strengthen its traditional form or if deconstructs it. Genre science fiction is specific because it works with unreal world and there are women very often seen in leading positions and with masculine characteristics. This representation can lead to deconstruct the rooted gender stereotypes. Research is a case study of the Alien phenomenon and it aims its attention to the character of Lieutenant Ripley, who behaves and acts with feminine and masculine characteristics. The aim of this thesis was to find out, whether and how Ripley breaks or strengthens gender stereotypes of femininity. The saga of Alien was analyzed by means of qualitative content analysis. This research has proved, that Ripley really breaks gender stereotypes of femininity, which can really lead to deconstruction of traditional perception of gender and gender roles.en
