| Abstract: | Clarova množina benzenoidního grafu B je maximální množina nezávislích alternujícich šestiuhelníků ve všech perfektních párováních. Clarovo čislo benzenoidního grafu, označeno Cl(B), je počet šestiuhelníků v Clarové množine grafu B. V tomhle článku se dokzuje pár výsledků pro číslo nezávislosti subkubických stromů, které se pak poižijí k hornímu odhadu Clarového čísla katakondezovaných benzenoidných grafů. Hlavní výsledek článku je charakterizace katakondezovaných benzenoidných grafů s s maximálním Clarovím číslem. |
| Abstract in different language: | A Clar set of a benzenoid graph B is a maximum set of independent alternating hexagons over all perfect matchings of B. The Clar number of B, denoted by Cl(B), is the number of hexagons in a Clar set for B. In this paper, we first prove some results on the independence number of subcubic trees to study the Clar number of cata-condensed benzenoid graphs. As the main result of the paper we prove an upper bound for the Clar number of catacondensed benzenoid graphs and characterize the graphs that attain this bound. |
