Abstract in different language:	The defense of the Silesian -Hungarian border in the Duchy of Těšín at the end of the Thirty Years‘ War was a great burden on the local civilian population. How the civilian population was infl uenced by the military presence and how it participate in defense, construction works of Jablunkov fortifi cations and providing basic necessities of life in the same place will be presented in this article.
