Abstract in different language: Model Predictive Control (MPC) is a modern approach belonging to the group of "long range predictive control" which enables control system taking into account in system manner constraints given by physical limitations. The state of art in most drive applications in industry is the Field Oriented Control (FOC). This paper deals with MPC controller replacing PI controllers in the current loop of the FOC cascade structure. Matlab/Simulink environment was used for carrying out simulations on the model of induction machine.
