Abstract: In this paper, we present a benchmarking suite that allows a systematic comparison of pairwise static collision detection algorithms for rigid objects. The benchmark generates a number of positions and orientations for a predefined distance. We implemented the benchmarking procedure and compared a wide number of freely available collision detection algorithms.
