| Abstract: | Tato práce se pokouší mapovat klíčové myšlenky a argumenty představitelů islámského modernismu v Egyptě.Cílem je představit reprezentativní vzorek modernistických náboženských postojů v Egyptě, nejlidnatější arabské zemi, jež je již téměř po dvě století předním centrem rozmanitých podob moderního islámského myšlení. Na omezeném prostoru nebylo možné podat vyčerpávající souhrnné dějiny egyptského islámského modernismu, rozhodl jsem se proto raději učinit užší výběr několika ústředních postav tohoto směru (Rifá´a Ráfi at-Tahtáwí, Muhammad Abduh, Qásim Amín, Alí Abd ar-Ráziq, Mahmúd Šaltút), a v postupném sledu analyzovat jejich díla a hlavní myšlenky. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis tries to map Egyptian representatives of Islamic modernism crucial ideas and arguments. What I meant to do is to introduce a representative sample of modernistic religious attitudes in Egypt, the most populous Arabian country, in the past two centuries the foremnost centre of modern Islamic thought. Within a limited range it was not possible to present an exhaustive overall history of Egyptian Islamic modernism, and so I opted rather for some selected men of stature, representing this tendency (Rifa´a Rafi at-Tahtawi, Muhammad Abduh, Qasim Amin, Ali Abd ar-Raziq, Mahmúd Shaltut) and analyze their works and most important thoughts in turn. |
