| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá problematikou otroctví ve starověkém Římě. Zaměřuje se na pojem otroctví a jeho vývoj v jednotlivých obdobích římské říše. Dále se práce zaměřuje na právní postavení otroků v římské říši a vznik a zánik otrockého stavu. V závěru práce jsou popsány životní podmínky, pracovní uplatnění otroků a otrocká povstání, zvláště Spartakovo povstání. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis concerns with the slavery in ancient Rome. The attention is pointed toward concept of slavery and its evolution in each of the ancient Rome periods. Next, the thesis is focused on the legal status of the slaves, origins and demises of slave status. In the last part of the thesis, there are described the living conditions of slaves, their work assertion, and also the slave wars, particularly The war of Spartacus. |
