| Abstract: | Tato práce se věnuje novodobé historii karibských států. Pro lepší pochopení jejich směřování ve dvacátém století věnuji pozornost širším dějinným souvislostem vzniku každého z nich. Odlišná doba objevení evropskými mořeplavci, rozdílný způsob kolonizace, využití nových ostrovů i třeba postoj jejich nových vládců k otrokářství budou později formovat přerod těchto kolonií na více či méně nezávislé země. A právě emancipace je obsahem dějin Karibiku druhé poloviny dvacátého století. |
| Abstract in different language: | This work focuses on the modern history of Caribbean States. For a better understanding of their orientation in the twentieth century, I pay attention to the wider historical circumstances of each of them. Different time of discovery by European explorers, different way of colonization, exploitation of new islands and should be the attitude of their new rulers to slavery will later shape the transformation of the colonies more or less independent country. And the emancipation of the content of the history of the Caribbean the second half of the twentieth century. |
