| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá překladem díla Douglase Adamse Restaurant na konci vesmíru. Krátce seznámí čtenáře se základní dějovou linií tohoto románu a autorovým stylem psaní. V práci jsou vysvětleny termíny týkající se teorie překladu a problematika humoru jakožto součásti umělecké literatury i běžného života. V praktické části se teoretické znalosti uplatňují při tvorbě vlastního překladu a komentáře k relevantním, kritickým a zajímavým částem překladu. |
| Abstract in different language: | This diploma thesis deals with the writing of Douglas Adams and the translation of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. The first part is about Adams' writing style. The terms of translation theory as well as issues concerning fiction writing and everyday life around us are also explained. In the practical part theoretical knowledge is applied to our own translation and comments are made on relevant, crucial, and interesting parts of the translation. |
