| Abstract: | V diplomové práci je definována eugenika jako věda a její vznik ve vztahu k teoriím evoluce, především Darwinův přirozený výběr. Práce představuje nejznámější české eugeniky a základní témata, kterým se věnovali, jako jsou např. degenerace lidské rasy, způsoby její regenerace, problematika předmanželských lékařských prohlídek či zavedení sňatkových vysvědčení. Dále pojednává o anglosaské eugenice a německé rasové hygieně, jejich základních tématech jako jsou např. sterilizace či eutanázie, a porovnává je s českou eugenikou. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis defines eugenics and its formation in relation to evolutionary theories, particularly Darwin's natural selection. The thesis presents the most famous Czech eugenicists and main themes what they were interested in, for example degeneration of human race, ways for its regeneration, the importance of medical examinations before marriage or establishment of the eugenic marital revision. The thesis also focuses on the Anglo-Saxon eugenics and the German racial hygiene, its main themes such as sterilization or euthanasia, and compares them with the Czech eugenics. |
