| Abstract: | Diplomová práce pojednává o životě a díle významné osobnosti evropské vědy z hlediska jejího podílu na formování novověké vědecké racionality. Práce je členěná do tří částí. V první se věnuje stavem bádání ve vědách od antiky až po život Galilea Galilei. V druhé části je zobrazena Galileiho životní dráha a především jeho vědecké práci, která ovlivnila vznik novověké vědy. Poslední část ukazuje Galileiho boj za vědeckou pravdu a svobodu myšlení zejména v konfrontaci s křesťanskými dogmaty. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis deals with the life and work of important figure of European science in terms of its contribution to shaping modern scientific rationality. The work is divided into three parts. The first deals with the state of research in the sciences from antiquity to the life of Galileo Galilei. The second part shows the life of Galileo's career and especially his scientific work, which influenced the emergence of modern science. The last part shows Galileo's struggle for scientific truth and freedom of thought especially in the confrontation with Christian dogma. |
