| cs |

dc.description.abstract-translated | This bachelor thesis deals with the instrumental politicization of history in selected movies. Using the other words, whether the selected movies are used to legitimize the political order and promote a particular view of the past. The analysis of the selected Czech movies "Pelíšky", "Občanský průkaz", "Pupendo" and "Báječná léta pod psa" shows that historical facts are not deliberately manipulated and movie events are not artificially constructed for other purposes. The thesis uses a methodological framework where it compares the construction of history in the films with the objective historical depiction of the normalization period. The common elements of selected movies are brought closer by narrative analysis, which provides a deeper understanding of how the authors of the films constructed history. Selected movies offer a nostalgic view of the past rather than an accurate depiction of historical events. At the same time, the results show that exploring history through the lens of film makes sense, as it can help audience to better understand historical events and their impact on the present. | en |
