| Abstract: | Téma mé práce je Hospicová péče se zaměřením na Hospic sv. Lazara v Plzni. Diplomová práce se skládá z teoretické části, ve které se věnuji obecně tématu smrti a umírání, historickému vývoji nahlížení na tuto problematiku, paliativní a hospicové péči a okolnostem vzniku prvních hospiců na území naší republiky. Samostatná kapitola je věnována Hospici sv. Lazara, jeho vzniku a fungování. Pro úplnost tématu jsem do práce zařadila i kapitolu o eutanazii. Praktická část je pak věnována kvantitativnímu výzkumu, jehož cílem je zjistit míru informovanosti veřejnosti v Plzni a okolí o tom, co je hospicová péče, zjistit míru informovanosti veřejnosti o poskytování hospicové péče v Plzni a jejich ochotu využívat tyto služby v případě potřeby a porovnání získaných výsledků s podobným výzkumem provedeným v roce 1999. |
| Abstract in different language: | The topic of my diploma thesis is hospice care and it is concerned more precisely on the Hospice of St Lazar in Plzen. The diploma thesis contains two major parts, the theoretical one and the practical one; both of them are further divided into several chapters. The theoretical part deals with the topic of death and dying in general, the historical development of perception of this issue, palliative and hospice care, and also the origin of the first hospices in the Czech Republic. As it has been already mentioned, the thesis is concerned on the Hospice of St Lazar in Plzen so a separate chapter dealing with its origin and work is contained in the thesis. To cover all the topic of death and dying, a chapter about euthanasia is included in my diploma thesis. The practical part of the thesis is concerned on the quantitative research. The aim of this research is to discover two main issues. The first question to answer is how much the society in Plzen is informed about providing hospice care in Plzen. Secondly, the research should obtain data about people willingness to use this service if it would be necessary. Finally, results of this research are compared to similar research realized in 1999. |
