| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou fenoménu námořního pirátství, zejména pak participací Severoatlantické aliance při jeho řešení. Autor se soustřeďuje na oblast okolo Somálska, Adenského zálivu a západní části Indického oceánu. Tato oblast byla vybrána především proto, že zde působí hlavní proti-pirátské operace NATO, které jsou v práci popisovány. Autor se zde zabývá tím, zda jsou tyto operace nutné a jakou hrozbou je somálské pirátství pro regionální či mezinárodní systém. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis analyzes the phenomenon of maritime piracy, particulary with regard to the involvement of The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The author focuses on the area around Somalia, the Gulf of Aden and the western Indian Ocean. This area was chosen primarily because there are ongoing main NATO anti-piracy operations, which are described in the thesis. The author examines whether these operations are necessary and what is the threat of Somali piracy for regional or international system. |
