| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce s názvem "Účast zemí NATO v boji proti námořním pirátům" se zabývá námořním pirátstvím při somálském pobřeží. Autor v práci popisuje příčiny vzniku pirátství v Somálsku a jeho dopady. V práci se hodnotí, zda protipirátské operace vedené členskými státy NATO v západní části Indického oceánu, konkrétně v Adenském zálivu a oblasti Afrického rohu, mají smysl a vedou k potlačení pirátství. |
| Abstract in different language: | The bachelor thesis entitled "The participation of states of NATO in the fight against maritime piracy" is dealing with maritime piracy in a region of the Horn of Africa along with Gulf of Aden. The author describes causes of a pirate development in Somalia and its impacts. The thesis evaluates antipiracy operations led by member states of NATO. Its objective is to evaluate whether the operations have been successful in suppressing the piracy. |
