| Abstract: | V této diplomové práci jsem se zabývala komparací etnických konfliktů ve Rwandě a Jihoafrické republice. V první části jsem se zaměřila na teorii, skrze kterou jsem se snažila charakterizovat nacionalismus, stát, etnicitu a etnický konflikt. Využila jsem díla několika teoretiků, aby práce nebyla postavena na jedné teorii. V praktické části jsem se soustředila nejprve na africký kontext a následně na historický vývoj Rwandy a Jihoafrické republiky, přičemž jsem se snažila zkoumat jednotlivé faktory z teoretické části v praktických případech. Samotným cílem mé práce je poukázat na základě odlišností etnických konfliktů na rozdíly v příčinách jejich vypuknutí, skrze teorie nacionalismu, etnicity a identity. |
| Abstract in different language: | My diploma thesis emphasizes the comparison of ethnic conflicts in Rwanda and South Africa. In the first part of my work I focused on the theory where I tried to describe nationalism, state, ethnicity and ethnic conflict and characterized them. I used several theories of nationalism, so this work is not based on one theory. In the practical part of my work I focused on the African context first and after that I focused on the historical development of Rwanda and South Africa. I tried to examine each factor from theoretical part in practical cases. The main objective of the work was to point out the differences in ethnic conflicts through the theories of nationalism, ethnicity and identity. |
