| Abstract: | Práce zkoumá vlastnosti lokalizace počítačových her. První část práce je věnována definici počítačových her jako součásti moderní populární kultury, popisu hlavních rysů lokalizace počítačových her a hlavních překladatelských strategií. Byly také analyzovány různé možnosti pro dosažení optimálního překladu textu počítačových her a osobních jmen ve hrách. Druhá část obsahuje informace o seriálech jako součásti moderní populární kultury, historii a typech lokalizace seriálů v různých zemích světa a vlastnostech lokalizace. Třetí část porovnává překlady jednotlivých jednotek z angličtiny do češtiny v animovaném seriálu South Park a stejnojmenných počítačových her a zkoumá možné rozdíly a shody. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis studies the features of localization of computer games. The thesis is divided into three part. The first part of the paper is devoted to defining computer games as part of modern popular culture, description of the main features of the localization of computer games and the main translation strategies. Also were analyzed various options for achieving the optimal translation of the text of computer games and personal names in games. The second part contains information about television series as a part of modern popular culture, history and types of localization of serials in different countries of the world and its features. The third part provides a practical comparison of the individual units in English and Czech languages of the South Park series and the computer games of the same name. |
