Abstract:	Práce srovnává česky a německy psané pověsti z okresu Domažlice. Zkoumá jak moc se pověsti podobají nebo naopak odlišují. Vysvětluje pojem pověst z historického a literárního hlediska. Dále práce přibližuje národnostní situaci v Domažlickém okrese a v Čechách obecně. V závěru práce zjišťuje, zda jsou pověsti z okresu Domažlice známé i současnému obyvatelstvu.
Abstract in different language:	The thesis compares legends written in Czech and German from the Domažlice region. It examines how much legends resemble or differ. It explains the term legend from a historical and literary point of view. Furthermore, the work describes the ethnic situation in the Domažlice region and in the Czech Republic in general. At the end of the thesis, he finds out whether the legends from the Domažlice region are also known to the current population.
