| Abstract: | Pro svoji diplomovou práci na téma Site-specific instalace jsem stvořila vílu, mytologickou bytost, která vypadá na první pohled něžně, ale ve skutečnosti se v ní skrývá predátor. Jedná se o sádrovou sochu, odlitou podle živého modelu, která je pokryta vrstvou slídových třpytivých šupin připomínajících olupující se kůži. Na Valči můžeme nalézt největší mineralogické naleziště, tudíž má slída spojitost i s původním místem instalace. Víla je skrčená v dřepu a natahuje jednu ruku směrem k divákovi. Gesto má působit konfrontačně a má ho lákat k vyšplhání za ní na strom. Pro podpoření projektu jako takového jsem napsala o víle krátký fikční příběh. |
| Abstract in different language: | For my diploma thesis I created a fairy a site-specific installation. It is a mythical creature, which looks gentle at first sight but in fact it hides a predator. It is a plaster sculpture made by lifecasting process. The sculpture is covered with flashy mica flakes which look similar to flaky skin. There is a huge mineralogical site on Valeč so there is an connection between the mica and the original installation site. The fairy is crouching down with her right arm stretched out towards a viewer. The gesture should feel confrontational and it should tempt the viewer to climb the tree to the fairy. To support the project as a whole I also wrote a short fiction story about the fairy. |
