| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářská práce je analýza příčin, průběhu a důsledků severovietnamské ofenzívy Tet. Útok byl veden proti Jižními Vietnamu s cílem zvrátit patovou situaci ve válce. Z vojenského hlediska se jednalo o katastrofické selhání Severního Vietnamu a ocitla se na pokraji porážky. Spojené státy ale byly natolik ochromeni protivníkovo ofenzívy, že se rozhodly nadále nepokračovat ve vietnamském konfliktu a postupně vystouply z války. Úvod práce je zaměřen na vývoj situace v Jižním Vietnamu. Dále část, ve které autor analyzuje vývoj války, který vedl k severovietnamské ofenzívě. Následuje analýza nejvýznamnějších střetů v rámci vojenské operace Tet. Autor práce na závěr shrne politické a vojenské dopady. |
| Abstract in different language: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the causes, course and consequences of the North Vietnamese Tet offensive. The attack was conducted against South Vietnam in order to reverse the stalemate in the war. From a military point of view, this was a catastrophic failure of North Vietnam and was on the verge of defeat. But the United States was so paralyzed by the adversary offensive that they decided not to continue the Vietnam conflict and stepped out of the war. The introduction is focused on the development of the situation in South Vietnam. Furthermore, the part in which the author analyzes the development of the war, which led to the North Vietnamese offensive. The following is an analysis of the most important clashes in the military operation Tet. In conclusion, the author summarizes the political and military impacts. |
