| Abstract: | Pražský arcibiskup a kardinál Josef Beran představuje výjimečnou osobnost náboženských a kulturních dějin 20. století, a to nejen v českém, ale i evropském kontextu. Práce je zaměří především na intelektuální profil jeho osobnosti a rozbor teologického i pastoračního díla, též na období Beranova římského exilu a jeho účasti na Druhém vatikánském koncilu, stejně jako na jeho iniciativu vedoucí k pokusům o rehabilitaci reformátora Jana Husa. |
| Abstract in different language: | Josef Beran, the Cardinal and the Archbishop of Prague, represents an exceptional personality of the religious and cultural history of the 20th century, not only in the Czech but also in the European context. The thesis is focused mainly on the intellectual profile of his personality and analysis of theological and pastoral work. Also, during the period of Beran's Roman exile and his participation at the Second Vatican Council as well as its initiative leading to attempts to rehabilitate the reformer, Jan Hus. |
